Say hello to the latest addition to our eco-friendly family – the new 500ml Aluminium bottle that’s refillable, recyclable and responsible! And as an extra bonus, it comes pre-filled with pure spring water bottled at source in Herefordshire!
Apart from being our most original and successful product to date, it has set a new benchmark for ‘eco-friendly packaging’.
💧Our bottles are not only made from 100% recycled aluminium, but they are infinitely recyclable through your local recycling scheme.
💧The inner liner of our bottles are certified BPA free and the paint coating gets disposed of in an environmentally-conscious process during recycling.
💧By opting for recycled aluminium we can keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. At 435g of CO2 emissions per bottle, this figure would be 20 times higher if we were extracting the aluminium straight from the Earth.
💧Not only this, but our bottle becomes completely carbon negative after simply refilling it 2.5 times (although feel free to re-use it up to 500 times!)
💧Although it takes more energy to produce our aluminium bottles than our cans or cartons, less than 1 litre of water is used to produce each bottle.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE ALUMINIUM BOTTLE IS RECYCLED?
Aluminium is one of the best materials for production – it is infinitely recyclable and does not degrade in the process. However, this ever-fulfilling cycle begins with the consumer and their recycling habits.
STEP 1) Once your bottle has come to the end of its natural life, make sure you recycle it (in the same bin as your tins and cans!)
STEP 2) Your bottle ends up at the recycling plant and is stripped of its inner and outer coatings so that only the aluminium remains. This primary process is more environmentally friendly than allowing the coatings to evaporate during the melting process which releases harmful fumes into the environment.
STEP 3) The 65g of aluminium per bottle is melted down and reformed into foil, packaging or cans – in fact, just one of our aluminium bottles could be turned into 100 of our cans! Whatever our bottle turns into, it takes just 2 months for it to complete its journey from recycling bin to your shopping basket.
